The Attic Film Festival Announces Films for 2014

Twenty-eight Films about Faith, Hope and Redemption are Scheduled to Screen April 4-5 at the Alamo Drafthouse- Lakeline Cinema

Austin, Texas (March 12, 2014) – The Attic Film Festival (TAFF), the only local Austin, Texas film festival to showcase independent Christian-based films of faith, hope and redemption, announces the lineup of films for 2014 Festival. The festival will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse, Lakeline location on April 4th through 5th and will showcase 28 films including documentaries, shorts, full-features and animated films. The films will be presented in blocks and tickets prices vary from $10 to $15 for reserved seating and $45 for an all access pass. Dr. Jamee Kennedy, Executive Director of The Attic Film Festival, said, “The films featured at the 2014 Attic Film Festival are some of the most well-done, quality-driven, inspirational films that we have received in the history of the festival. And we’ve had a very difficult time selecting the 28 films we’re showing, out of hundreds that we’ve received this year. The audiences will be very pleased; it’s something that not only Austin Christians should not miss, but film enthusiasts as well. Kennedy continues, “from films about Austin, Texas Reagan High School Football team (Where We Belong), to Jeremy Lin pro-basket ball player (Linsanity) to popular Christian band, Switchfoot (Fading West), audiences will surely connect with these characters and leave with a great message.”

“The Attic Film Festival is the perfect place for Linsanity, the story of pro basketball athlete Jeremy Lin, to screen at,” Brian Yang, director of Linsanity said. “We’re thrilled and blessed to be a part of this year’s line-up and can’t wait to share the story with everyone in Austin.”

In addition to the films, The Attic Film Festival will hold Q&A sessions with the films’ cast and crew. Winners of the following award categories will be announced on April 3, 2014 at The Attic Film Festival’s Family Filmmaker Dinner and Awards at Threadgills, downtown at 7 P.M.
