What is the Attic Film Fest?

More than a Film Fest, the ATTIC is a gathering of filmmakers, producers, actors, directors, writers and audiences exploring the art of telling the Gospel story through film.

Each Spring the ATTIC hosts a competitive Film Fest.  Judges select and nominate the highest caliber of films to compete for cash awards and additional screenings throughout the ATTIC season.  A fun filmmaker dinner opens the fest for networking and fellowship, followed by screenings of the selected films over the course of the next 2 days.

Founded in 2007, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Austin, Texas.

  • Mission Statement

The ATTIC FILM FEST’s mission is to support and empower Independent Christian Films and filmmakers to spread the Gospel through film.  We screen films that explore, explain or exemplify the Gospel or that examine redemptive themes of the Bible.

  • Statement of Belief

At TAFF, we believe in the one true living God, that Jesus was God’s only son, born to be the savior and redeemer of all. Jesus ministered, performed miracles, sacrificed Himself, suffered and died on a cross, to pay for all of human kind’s sin.

Being a part of the Attic Film Festival was an incredible experience that encouraged both David and I to continue making inspirational films that glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and I recommend all filmmakers to submit their work for the coming year.

Many of the faith film festivals have struggled to find content that is not over-hyped, under-acted, and severely under-funded … until now.  The Attic Film Festival blows me away!  The films are amazing, attendance is overwhelming, and the staff in incredible.

The festival is more than a mere competition – it is  gathering of where filmmakers, producers, actors, and writers network and encourage each other, interact with the audience, and generally just have a great time!
